TuneCore has announced the appointment of Brian Miller as its new chief business officer.
In this role, Miller – who has over 20 years of experience – will oversee “all of TuneCore’s global business, helping develop opportunities for self-releasing artists to move access from to success and lead the company’s continued global expansion.”
For the last two years, Miller has served as chief revenue officer at TuneCore where he drove double digit revenue growth per year.
Speaking about the appointment, Romain Vivien, global head of music, Believe, said: “Brian brings a powerful combination of strategic thinking, operational leadership, and partnership expertise. His experience building and scaling businesses, along with his deep understanding of growth strategy, will play a critical role as we continue to expand TuneCore’s global ecosystem and create new opportunities for independent artists.”
In his new role, Miller will focus on “identifying new strategic partnerships, expanding TuneCore’s global presence” and developing initiatives “that enhance the company’s services for artists and industry partners alike.”

Miller added: “Since joining TuneCore two years ago, one thing has been made abundantly clear: independent artists are the central force shaping the future of the music industry. TuneCore has built an incredible platform that empowers artists as they begin to build and grow careers on their own terms while retaining ownership of their rights. I’m excited to step into this new role and lead the team as we continue to grow, launch new partnerships, and expand our services to keep helping artists build sustainable careers.”
Prior to joining TuneCore, Miller served in multiple C-level roles across a number of key consumer focused “scale-up” companies where he oversaw business operations, strategy, sales, account management, business development, legal and marketing teams, driving expansion and operational growth across multiple organizations.
In November, TuneCore reported that artists on the platform have collectively earned $5 billion since it launched in 2006.
