Harry Styles’ fourth album campaign has got off to a flying start with a No.1 chart result for its lead single.
Aperture (Columbia) debuted at the summit with consumption of 70,498 units, according to the Official Charts Company. It is the first single to debut at No.1 since Taylor Swift’s The Fate Of Ophelia in October last year.
Aperture is the third No.1, eighth Top 10 hit and 17th Top 75 entry of his solo career.
Styles’ new single was streamed about 7.75 million times in the UK last week. It is the first track to be released from new album Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, which is scheduled for March 6.
There was a catalogue boost for Harry Styles in the latest chart with 2022 mega-hit As It Was returning to the Top 30 (No.28, 11,986 units) with a 198.2% week-on-week increase in consumption. It is back in the Top 40 for the first time since 2024. With consumption to date of 3,384,111 units, As It Was certainly gives Aperture something to aim for.
As It Was’ parent album, 2022’s Harry’s House, moved 32-16 with a week-on-week consumption increase of 47.5% (5,075 units). It is fast approaching a million chart units with 941,532 logged so far.
Fine Line, released in 2019, is already past the million mark – 1,035,090 units – having reached seven figures in August 2025. In the latest chart, Fine Line moved 37-25 with a weekly consumption increase of 35.1% (4,349 units).
Coincidentally, Styles’ former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson is No.1 in the albums chart. How Did I Get Here? (BMG) debuted at the summit with consumption of 28,416 units (23,594 physical copies, 2,578 downloads and 2,244 sales-equivalent streams).
The No.1 result for Styles comes in a week in which he announced a further six shows at Wembley Stadium, taking the total to 12 – which will be a new record at the venue.
He is also confirmed to perform at the BRIT Awards on February 28, which will mark the first live TV performance of music from the new album ahead of its release.
