Funfair and Heatwave Records are building on their global impact with some key appointments.
Andrew Birchall has been promoted to head of A&R at Funfair/Heatwave Records, while Jade Chamieh has been appointed to her first music industry role as head of operations and marketing.
Birchall started at Funfair Records as an intern in February 2024. In the last 18 months, he has been involved in signing a number of artists to Funfair and Heatwave Records including Jotta, Kendis, Fido and Budzik.
Founder Tyler Brown said: “At this stage in my career it’s beyond exciting to see new talent such as Andrew go from strength to strength. I have no doubt he will lead our A&R team into its most successful era and beyond. Andrew understands the importance of hit records and his hunger to discover these is immense. It’s a great example of how hard work, taste, talent and determination pays off!”
He added: “Really excited to welcome Jade to the company, we feel like she has the right skillset to become very successful in this role – and as a business, creating this role shows our ambition and determination to take the company to the next level.”

Heatwave Records, which is distibuted by Too Lost, was founded by Tyler Brown (former Syco MD) and Harold Serero (former Ultra A&R) in August 2024. The label’s first release Awolowo by Fido went straight to No.1 across DSPs in Nigeria.
Heatwave followed that up with the Top 5 single Hausapiano feat Zerry DL and Robando, which went to No.1 on the Mexican Viral chart. The label currently has one of the biggest records in Indonesia and a global viral hit with Ours To Keep by Kendis.
Funfair Records was founded in 2021 by Tyler Brown as a JV with Red Light Management and is distributed by AWAL. The label currently has a Top 10 record in Nigeria with Escaladizzy featuring Mavo, Ayra Starr and Shallipoppi. This year they have had Top 10 results in Poland, Switzerland, Turkey and Austria.
