Fuga expands partnership with classical music group Naxos

Fuga has unveiled a significant expansion of its partnership with classical music company Naxos Music Group

The renewed deal deepens the collaboration between the two companies, with Fuga now providing its full suite of services to strengthen fan engagement and drive global audience growth. This includes strategic marketing, specialist YouTube services, product development, business development and royalty management.

Founded in 1987, Naxos is a globally recognised and highly regarded classical music group, with a catalogue of almost 30,000 titles, international accolades and numerous Grammy awards across both its own labels and distributed labels.

“The expanded partnership underscores both companies' shared mission to broaden the reach and appreciation of classical music,” said a statement.

“Naxos and Fuga share a belief in innovation, and the power of music to reach across cultures,” said Håkan Lagerqvist, CEO of Naxos Digital Services. “This expanded partnership reflects our continued investment in reimagining how classical music is marketed, distributed, and discovered by listeners around the world.”

As part of the expanded partnership, Downtown-owned Fuga now supports Presto Music, enabling Naxos and its labels to view streaming performance data from one of the world’s largest classical music DSPs. The integration marks the first time Presto Music has provided analytics reporting to a music distributor.

“By connecting Presto Music with Fuga Analytics, we’re giving Naxos unprecedented visibility into classical streaming performance,” said Chris O’Reilly, CEO of Presto Music. “This integration strengthens our partnership with Naxos and Fuga, delivering timely data that will bring smarter marketing and greater growth to the classical music space.”

In support of this partnership, Fuga has also announced the appointment of Amy Nelson as senior strategy marketing manager for classical & jazz, based in Amsterdam. Nelson previously held senior roles at LSO Live, The Orchard and Pentatone.

Nelson will work closely with both the Fuga and Naxos teams, overseeing campaign development, artist promotion and long-term audience strategy.

"Joining Fuga to support Naxos’ legendary catalogue is a real privilege," said Amy Nelson. "I look forward to helping global audiences discover and enjoy classical and jazz."

This expanded deal builds on the original partnership first announced in 2022, when Naxos engaged Fuga to provide digital distribution and royalty accounting services.

"Naxos is a true pioneer in classical music, and we’re proud to deepen our collaboration with them as they modernise how classical music is experienced," said Liz Northeast, SVP EMEA at Fuga. "Their deep understanding of the classical landscape, combined with our technological expertise, creates a powerful opportunity to grow audiences for classical music worldwide."
