Following UK No.1 single, Raye confirms new album release for Q1

Raye has confirmed that her second album, This Music May Contain Hope, will be released in Q1.

The Grammy-nominated UK star’s follow-up to debut LP My 21st Century Blues will drop on March 27 via Human Re Sources/The Orchard.

It follows the UK No.1 success of the single Where Is My Husband!, which has also peaked at No.13 in the US Hot 100 and No.6 on Spotify’s Global Chart.

Where Is My Husband! has been streamed more than 600 million times to date. The track has charted in the Top 10 across Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.

Since her 2014 debut, the South London singer-songwriter has charted 20 Top 40 UK singles and surpassed over 10 billion cumulative streams.

Raye has just earned two nominations at the 2026 BRIT Awards (Song Of The Year for Where Is My Husband! and Best Pop). It follows her record-breaking haul of six BRITs trophies in 2024.

Raye’s sophomore album, This Music May Contain Hope, is set in four “seasons” with each side of the double vinyl representing a different season.

Music is medicine, I’ve always said that. I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world

In a statement, Raye said: “Music is medicine, I’ve always said that. I guess I’m in the process of making medicine for myself that I can share with the world. I want us all to say to ourselves that it’s going to be all right, and I’m going to have faith in the seeds that I’ve planted beneath the snow. I wanted to create something that is a hug, bed or soft place for that person who needs it.”

Raye has just launched her 51-date sold-out arena tour, This Tour May Contain New Music, with support from her two sisters Absolutely and Amma. The tour includes arena dates across Europe and the UK – including six sold-out nights at The O2 – before heading to North America.

Additionally, Raye will be a special guest on Bruno Mars’ The Romantic Tour for 27 stadium shows across the US this summer.

During Grammys week, Raye is to be honoured with the Recording Academy’s Harry Belafonte Best Song For Social Change for Ice Cream Man.
