Exclusive: Apple Corps introduces new team additions under CEO Tom Greene

British executive Tom Greene was appointed as only the third CEO in Apple Corps’ history in September 2025.

Now Music Week can reveal the hires that signal a new era at the company, as it continues in its mission to bring The Beatles music to younger generations of fans with fresh creative approaches.

Apple Corps has revealed a round of team additions from a broad range of music, film, retail, experiential, digital and brands backgrounds.

Greene previously held operating roles for the Harry Potter franchise, including stints running both Pottermore Publishing and Wizarding World Digital, a joint venture between Warner Bros and Pottermore. Apple Corps’ new wave of hires include executives from Harry Potter businesses and Warner Bros, as well as Paul McCartney’s MPL.

Since 1968, Apple Corps has overseen The Beatles’ creative and business interests. More than five decades since the band broke up, they remain at the forefront of popular culture.

The new Apple Corps hires are:

Lux Paterson, chief strategy and marketing officer
Paterson will be responsible for running marketing, digital, press & publicity, and strategy. Starting her career as a strategy consultant, she later joined Warner Bros Discovery to lead growth strategy for global franchises.

Jonathan Sands, retail and experiences
Sands will be joining the executive team to work across broader merchandise strategy, with a focus on Apple Corps’ ambitions in visitor experiences and retail. He has founded a number of experiential businesses, including Star Wars The Exhibition, The London Film Museum (which produced Bond in Motion) and the Harry Potter Platform 9 ¾ retail group, which he continued to run as SVP following its acquisition by Warner Bros.

Jemma Hill, chief finance and operating officer
Hill has joined Apple Corps from literary and entertainment agency The Blair Partnership, where for 10 years she was a member of the leadership team and group finance director responsible for financial management for the agency and various Neil Blair & JK Rowling businesses, including Pottermore. Hill was previously at The Walt Disney Company in various finance & operational roles across BVITV and the EMEA franchise organisation, having qualified with Deloittes.

Miranda Langford, head of marketing
Langford has joined Apple Corps from MPL, the umbrella company for the business interests of Paul McCartney. Over six years, she managed the MPL digital department, overseeing integrated marketing strategy across music releases, book releases, film projects, tours and brand partnerships.

In addition to the new hires, Cathy Hawkes has been promoted to chief of staff after three decades at Apple Corps.

Neil Mohring, general counsel, completes the executive team line-up and will now lead all business affairs after seven years in-house at Apple Corps.

“Both appointments ensure a strong continuation in Apple Corps’ core operations,” said a statement.

All roles are effective immediately.

Speaking of the hires, Apple Corps CEO Tom Greene said: “I’m delighted with the team we’ve assembled. Their unique skill sets, expertise and energy perfectly set us up for fulfilling the ambitions we have for a seismic period in Apple Corps’ and The Beatles' history. The opportunities are huge. Apple Corps has always been about cultural innovation and progress, and we now have the perfect team to continue that into the future.”

When he was appointed last year, Greene was COO of Blast, an entertainment company working with video game developers and publishers on the production, commercialisation and audience growth of their esports programmes.

In a statement, the Apple Corps board said: “Tom and his new team join the Apple Corps family at the start of a really exciting few years. We're thrilled to have a team onboard who can continue to bring The Beatles music to the world in fresh and innovative ways.”

In 2024, Jeff Jones stepped down as chief executive of Apple Corps after 17 years.

The Beatles' impact on popular culture

Apple Corps’ music initiatives include The Beatles’ 2023 international hit single Now And Then, which reached No.1 in the UK singles charts and secured a Grammy win, as well as a BRIT Award nomination.

The Beatles’ influence in the world of film and documentary has also continued, with Peter Jackson’s Get Back (2021) sweeping the Emmys’ documentary categories with five awards.

Since 2024, Apple Corps and Disney+ have released David Tedeschi and Martin Scorsese's new Beatles ‘64 documentary, Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s Let It Be and a lovingly restored version of The Beatles Anthology.

The Anthology 4 compilation, released in partnership with Universal Music Recordings, charted in the Top 10 in the UK in December. Curated by Giles Martin and released on two CDs and triple vinyl, it includes previously unreleased session outtakes. Anthology 4 was released alongside the 8CD and 12LP deluxe box set containing each of the Anthology editions.

The four-film Beatles cinematic event is set for release in April 2028 through Sony Pictures Entertainment and Neal Street Productions. The project marks the first time Apple Corps and The Beatles have granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film.

Directed by Sam Mendes, the films will star Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr), Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney) and Joseph Quinn (George Harrison).

Apple Corps was founded in 1968 to oversee The Beatles’ creative and business interests. Since its inception, the company has encompassed music, publishing, merchandise, electronic and film enterprises.
