Ed Sheeran launches London pop-up shop for Play album

Ed Sheeran’s Play album is getting its own pop-up shop – The Play Store.

According to the Midweek Charts sales flash, Play is heading for the summit with consumption already approaching 60,000 units.

Following the album release via Atlantic on Friday (September 12), the store launch has been confirmed at The Outernet, Charing Cross Rd, London, WC2H 8LH on Tuesday, September 16 and Wednesday, September 17

The shop will be open from 11am to 8pm.

The Play Store will include:

·  A range of new and limited-edition merchandise

· Vinyl and cassette editions of Play (including limited signed products)

·  Album-themed graphics and projections wrapping the entire shop

·  A doodle/message wall where fans can leave their own messages

·  Live screen-printing stations for t-shirts and posters

·  A chance to enter a raffle to win limited-edition, hand-painted Nike Air Jordan trainers, customised live in-store as a nod to Sheeran’s favourite footwear

With the Play album’s release, Sheeran unveiled the official video for his new single Camera starring Phoebe Dynevor. He also performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk.
