Clairo signs to Atlantic Records, Elliot Grainge welcomes

Atlantic Records has announced it has signed Grammy-nominated artist Clairo

Hailed by Atlantic as a “a singular voice among contemporary singer-songwriters”, to date Clairo – real name Claire Cottrill – has released three studio albums: 2019’s Immunity, 2021’s Sling and 2024’s Charm, the latter released through her own label Clairo Records.   

Speaking about the deal, Clairo said: “I’m so thrilled to begin this next chapter of my musical journey with Atlantic. From our first meeting, they immediately understood my vision, and it feels good to know I can continue to be as expressive and free with my ideas with a great new partner by my side.”

Charm was Clairo’s highest-charting UK record to date, entering at No.13. It stands on sales of 59,780 to date according to Official Charts Company data. The star had a high-profile in the UK, supporting Sabrina Carpenter at BST Hyde Park.

Earlier this month, Warner Music Group  announced that its flagship Atlantic Records and Warner Records labels in the UK and US will collaborate more closely across A&R and marketing to give artists from both countries greater global impact. 

In this new framework, Atlantic UK co-presidents Ed Howard and Briony Turner will join the global leadership team of Atlantic Music Group (AMG) and report to AMG CEO Elliot Grainge. Read more here.
