Grammy-nominated artist Zhu has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Broke Records.
“The announcement marks a significant new chapter for both the pioneering electronic artist and boundary-pushing label, as Broke continues to solidify its reputation as a home for globally recognised talent,” said a statement.
Broke Records, which has a partnership with distributor Create Music Group, has established itself as a home for viral hits. Last year Broke launched a JV with Isekai, which has worked on hits by Ndotz and Stepz.
Zhu’s first release under Broke (out now) is a reimagining of his breakthrough 2014 hit Faded (Blacklizt Version), remixed by Canadian techno producer HNTR. First surfacing in underground edits and festival sets including Coachella, the remix has won over tastemakers like DJ and producer Kaskade and has been getting crowd reactions at venues such as Floyd Miami and The Brooklyn Mirage.
Zhu represents the calibre of artist we built Broke to support

The signing of Zhu was described as a “milestone moment” for Broke Records, which was founded by Andre Benz and Brandon De Oliveira.
“Zhu represents the calibre of artist we built Broke to support,” said Andre Benz, co-founder of Broke. “This moment is not only a full-circle reinvention of one of the most defining electronic records of the 2010s – it’s also a statement of intent for what comes next. Partnering with him on this next chapter is an honour, and we’re excited to help bring his world to life on his terms.”
In 2024, two of Broke’s artists landed on Spotify’s flagship Today’s Top Hits and the Global Top 50. Embrace It by Ndotz ranked as the fourth most-streamed UK rap track. Combined, the label’s top performers have generated over one billion streams across digital platforms.
Broke’s roster covers viral rap, underground electronic, and experimental pop. Alongside Zhu, the label currently works with Sevdaliza, Bbno$, Sosocamo, RJ Pasin, BLP Kosher and DC The Don, among others.
“The addition of Zhu reinforces Broke’s vision of building a home for culture-shaping talent who are unafraid to push creative boundaries,” said the statement.
