BMG will move its global headquarters to the top floor of the Lumina building, formerly Galeries Lafayette, in Berlin in early 2027. The move follows a lease agreement with global real estate firm Tishman Speyer.
The new headquarters will be situated in the heart of the city at Friedrichstrasse 76-78, just two blocks from BMG’s current Berlin offices.
Lumina has a modern, distinctive glass facade, which creates a bright atmosphere filled with natural light.
BMG CEO Thomas Coesfeld said: “Moving our headquarters to Lumina marks a significant milestone for BMG. This iconic Berlin building provides a prestigious, next-generation workspace that truly reflects our ways of working as a global music company with a strong commitment to Berlin. Lumina will foster an environment where our employees can thrive, boosting creativity and collaboration.”
The Lumina building is currently undergoing a comprehensive renovation by Tishman Speyer.
Amenities available to tenants will include a large rooftop, featuring a garden area and panoramic views of Friedrichstrasse, and dedicated event spaces. The building is also targeting several certifications for environmental sustainability, occupant wellbeing, digital connectivity and its transportation concept.

Construction of Lumina is set to be completed in the first quarter of 2027, ahead of BMG's move.
