BMG combines sync and production music to form global sync services team

BMG is uniting its sync and production music teams under a single global sync services structure.

“This one-stop shop offering for music allows clients to seamlessly choose from the best repertoire,” said a statement. “Artists and songwriters are enabled to benefit from BMG’s full network of clients and its creative and commercial bandwidth.”

As part of the newly formed global sync and licensing leadership team, BMG has appointed industry veterans Amberly Crouse-Knox and Scott Doran (pictured) as senior vice presidents of sync services & partnerships.

Crouse-Knox will oversee North America and LATAM from Los Angeles, while Doran will lead operations in the UK, CEU, and APAC from London. Reporting to BMG chief strategy officer Johannes von Schwarzkopf, they join Allegra Willis Knerr, EVP of global sync licensing, and Caspar Kedros, SVP of global sync operations.

Johannes Von Schwarzkopf said: “BMG’s new full-service media approach will directly benefit our artists, songwriters and partners while further reinforcing our reputation for innovation. Through close collaboration between our dedicated partnership teams, artists, and songwriters we are strengthening the bridge between creators and clients, matching high-quality repertoire with meaningful opportunities across film & TV, advertisement, gaming and beyond.”

The service experience across recorded music and music publishing sync and production music is supported by BMG’s global administration services.

Clients across media verticals such as television, film, advertising, trailers & promos, gaming and tech will now have access to a streamlined service with a unified team.

Crouse-Knox joined BMG in 2014 following its acquisition of the production music house X-Ray Dog Music. She most recently served as VP, US creative licensing, BMG Production Music.

Doran joined BMG in 2016 following its acquisition of UK music agency Altitude Music, where he was co-owner, alongside Kedros. He previously served as SVP, global creative licensing, BMG Production Music.
