Austin Daboh has announced his departure from Atlantic Records UK after five and a half years.
Daboh, who served as executive vice president at the Warner Music UK label, was awarded an OBE for services to music in December 2024.
“Turning the page after five and a half incredible years at Atlantic Records/Warner Music,” he posted on LinkedIn. “The time feels right to move into new ventures, carrying the relationships, lessons and success my teams delivered.
“Grateful for the staff and artists who made this chapter powerful and for every studio, stage and boardroom we shared. Onwards and upwards.”
During his spell at Atlantic, the label won Record Company Of The Year at the Music Week Awards 2022, and the A&R Award honour in 2023. Achievements for the seasoned exec included helping to secure the first ever drill No.1 when Tion Wayne and Russ Millions hit the top with Body in 2021
A former BBC Radio 1Xtra, Spotify and Apple Music exec, among his milestones were developing Apple’s Agenda playlist brand, and steering the Who We Be playlist and events brand at Spotify.
Daboh’s departure follows the announcement of a new framework at Warner Music UK, with label heads at Atlantic and Warner Records reporting into their US counterparts.
Warner Music UK’s other teams, including the shared services that support both labels, will be overseen directly by Simon Robson, president, EMEA, Recorded Music.
Warner Music UK CEO Tony Harlow left the company last month. COO Isabel Garvey – Outstanding Contribution winner at the Music Week Women In Music Awards in October – has announced her planned departure and will step down at the end of the year.
