Atlantic US signs rising UK band South Arcade

Atlantic Records in the US has signed rising UK band South Arcade in partnership with BKM Artists and LAB Records.

The announcement coincides with the band dropping their new single, Fear Of Heights.

South Arcade frontperson Harmony Cavelle said: “When meeting with Johnny [Minardi, Atlantic Music Group SVP of A&R], Elliot [Grainge, Atlantic Music Group CEO], Zach [Friedman, Atlantic Music Group COO], Tony [Talamo, Atlantic Music Group GM], and the Atlantic team, it was like, FINALLY someone gets it! It was really like clicking with someone on the same wavelength. They actually understood what we were trying to convey and felt like we were all on the same page. Atlantic has such a legacy – we are so excited to be a part of that and see what we can all come up with as a joint force. We honestly couldn’t be more stoked.”

Johnny Minardi, Atlantic Music Group senior vice president of A&R, said: “From the very first chorus I heard from South Arcade, I was completely hooked! As I dug deeper into their songs and world, it felt like stepping into a modern take on a nostalgic era. I’m incredibly excited for what’s ahead as South Arcade teams up with Atlantic to take on the world.”

The Atlantic deal follows a publishing agreement with Kobalt.

After two sold-out headline shows in Manchester and London in March, they played support tours including with singer-songwriter Bilmuri across Europe and Australia, as well as 25 dates across the US with Magnolia Park.

South Arcade will play the main stage at Reading & Leeds this August, following which they play their first US headline tour including sold-out shows in New York City and LA. They will also perform at Austin City Limits Music Festival in October.

South Arcade have amassed more than 11 million likes on TikTok and a rapidly growing YouTube channel.

With strong support at Radio 1, the band were named Future Artist Of The Month earlier this year and had previous single Supermodels added to the playlist.

Their 2024 EP, 2005, now has over 35 million streams on Spotify alone.
