Catalogue leads TikTok's UK Songs Of The Summer 2025

TikTok has named Jess Glynne’s Hold My Hand as its Song of the Summer 2025 – one of several catalogue tracks leading the platform’s rankings.

The 2015 dance track has become known as the Jet2holidays song with a trend that has taken over TikTok this summer. Hold My Hand has now been used more than nine million times to soundtrack holiday mishaps and more, with Jeff Goldblum and Mariah Carey among those posting videos.

Posts featuring Hold My Hand have now been viewed over 80 billion times on TikTok.

Jess Glynne said: "I'm honestly buzzing that Hold My Hand has been named TikTok's Song of the Summer! This track is so close to my heart, and seeing it take on a whole new life with you all on TikTok has been surreal. Music has always been about connection for me, and knowing this song has soundtracked so many happy moments around the world… that's the most special feeling ever. It's the song that keeps on giving!"

Jin Jin, the co-writer of Hold My Hand, has been named TikTok's Songwriter Of The Summer on account of her track's impact and cultural dominance this year. The UK songwriter has also worked with artists such as Raye, David Guetta, Burna Boy, Becky G, JLO, Maluma and Wizkid.

Jin Jin said: "I'm absolutely thrilled that Hold My Hand is the No.1 song of the summer on TikTok. It’s amazing to see the song take on a life of its own and it being known by millions all over the world.”

TikTok's Global Top 10 Songs Of The Summer 2025 list includes songs across different genres and eras.

The TikTok community's love of older tracks this year saw Black Eyed Peas’ 2010 hit Rock That Body land at No.2 in the global Songs Of The Summer list, thanks to dance moves by creators and fellow musicians.

More than six decades after its original release, Pretty Little Baby by the late Connie Francis landed at No.5 on the global list. The TikTok community embraced it as a soundtrack for wholesome pet and family videos. At its peak, the song averaged 600,000-plus daily creations on TikTok.

Tracy Gardner, global head of music business development, said: “TikTok’s Songs Of The Summer list reflects the power of TikTok to unlock music discovery and promote diverse artists and songs to our global community. I’m thrilled to see the women of TikTok continuing to find success, from Jess Glynne’s undeniable moment, to Connie Francis reaching entirely new generations, and rising sensations like PinkPantheress and Moliy building a dedicated fanbase. The Songs Of The Summer list proves that any artist, from anywhere in the world, can find a home on TikTok alongside over a billion music fans.”
