Apple Music launches Music Room with Lola Young as first artist for concert series

Apple Music has launched Music Room, an intimate new concert series that invites artists to reimagine their music in front of fans.

To kick off the series, Lola Young performed at Apple Music’s Los Angeles studios

The Grammy winner’s set included reimaginings of her songs Can We Ignore It, Dealer, Penny Out of Nothing, One Thing, and more.

Fans can listen to the Music Room: Lola Young EP in immersive spatial audio, exclusively on Apple Music.

“Apple Music has always aimed to bring artists and their fans closer,” said Rachel Newman, co-head of Apple Music. “There is no better example of that idea come to life than Music Room. It’s everything that’s pure and even magical about live music, unfiltered and unadorned. No spectacle or stage – just the songs and the stories behind them, shared like never before, the audience just inches away.”

Artists are free to focus on presenting new interpretations of their catalogue and experiment with a scaled-down production in front of a small room of fans.
