Sony Music Italy and FC Internazionale Milano have teamed up to honour Pink Floyd with an initiative that combines music and football to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here.
The project features a range of exclusive products, including an anthem jacket to be worn by players during the pre-match period of Inter vs Cagliari (April 17), a bundle with a t-shirt and vinyl, and the PFFC Collection, a capsule inspired by the football team founded by Pink Floyd in the 1970s. The initiative will be further amplified by a special activation at the stadium during Friday night’s match.
At the start of the 1970s, Pink Floyd would arrange football matches during breaks in their busy touring schedule. The Pink Floyd Football Club (PFFC) was made up of band members David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright, alongside various friends and members of the crew.
“With the PFFC Collection, Inter brings the band back onto the pitch in a symbolic gesture by reinterpreting the PFFC name as Pink Floyd FC Internazionale Milano and bringing a story from the past into a modern-day project that has the ability to unite generations, languages, and diverse communities,” said a statement.
It follows music industry and football partnerships including Spotify & Barcelona and the Rolling Stones & Paris Saint-Germain.
A PFFC photo by Kim Gottlieb-Walker inspired the collection, including a retro jersey that blends Pink Floyd’s identity with Inter’s. At the centre of the shirt is the PFFC lettering, resembling the original shirt worn in the 1970s photograph, while the back displays the 50th anniversary logo of Wish You Were Here. The sleeves are embellished with the Inter logo and the iconic handshake symbol. The same stylistic elements are also visible in other items in the collection, including scarves, tote bags, guitar picks and drumsticks.
In addition to the PFFC Collection, Inter is also launching two limited-edition products dedicated to celebrating the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here: the anthem jacket limited edition and a special bundle consisting of an original T-shirt and an exclusive blue vinyl.
It is an honour for Sony Music Italy to celebrate the legacy of a legendary band and a historic club through a collaboration that is truly one of a kind

Following Sony Music’s Pink Floyd catalogue deal, subsequent reissues charted around the world including two No.1s in the UK in the past year.
A new official compilation project titled 8-Tracks, featuring eight classics selected from the band’s 1971-79 era, will be released on June 5 via Sony Music.
The Inter Milan project has been launched through both a physical and digital campaign, including posters appearing across London and Milan in recent weeks. The campaign will head to the San Siro during Inter vs Cagliari, with a series of themed activations that will transform the stadium into an immersive Pink Floyd-inspired experience.
Luca Adornato, brand & marketing director of FC Internazionale Milano, said: “This collaboration fully represents our vision: to make Inter a brand that can form genuine connections with different worlds, creating products and experiences that, starting from football, allow us to connect with a broader audience. Music is at the heart of our identity and, over the years, we have worked on a path that has strengthened our presence in this field. The collaboration with Pink Floyd, a band that has shaped the history of global music, marks a key milestone for us in this evolution.”
Luca Fantacone, catalogue director of Sony Music Italy, said: “Music and football often come together in unexpected ways, and this collaboration between Pink Floyd, Inter, and Sony is a clear example of this. It is an honour for Sony Music Italy to celebrate the legacy of a legendary band and a historic club through a collaboration that is truly one of a kind.”
The products are available from April 15 on the official Inter online store. The bundle can also be purchased via the Sony Music Italy store.
